Overview:
Prepares accurate project cost estimates, budgets, and quantity takeoffs for construction, MEP systems, or interior design scopes.
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop cost estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs using digital tools like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Excel.
- Obtain pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and market databases.
- Prepare bid proposals, value engineering options, and cost breakdowns.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and procurement teams.
- Update and maintain historical cost data for future project benchmarking.
